(Cucumis sativus)

Wonderfully sweet cucumber. Great for pickling when the fruits are small (1” to 1.5”), and they make a great snack or slicer when slightly larger (2”). Harvest them when they are still pale in color. When they become darker yellow or orange the skin will start to become tough and the seeds a little too mature.

Direct sow the seeds 1/2” to 3/4” deep a few weeks after your last frost. Thin to 1’ spacing. This variety is said to climb up to 7’ (ours only made it to 4’), so allow for plenty of trellising!
