This strain of pea aubergine was brought to U.S. markets by Adaptive Seeds who encountered it growing semi-wild in Noong Ta Klong, Thailand. The lobed leaves, prolific flowers, and orange fruit make it a beautiful ornamental plant (for those of you in Utah, you may spot it growing at Red Butte Garden's Water Conservation Garden). The green fruits are used in chili pastes and coconut curry. If you are not a fan of complex bitter flavors, it's best grown for its ornamental qualities!
