Lance-leafed coreopsis is an abundant bloomer, which makes it a perfect addition to a perennial pollinator garden or dye garden. Lance-leafed coreopsis isn’t very finicky when it comes to soil type, and performs well under many conditions. Harvest the flowers often to prolong blooming, and use the petals fresh or dried for yellow and orange dyes.

Direct sow seeds in autumn through early spring. They prefer cooler weather for germination. You can also start the seeds indoors and transplant them in early spring.
