Phemeranthus calycinus

Perennial succulent with bright fuchsia flowers that open in the heat of the day. We personally love to inter plant them in pots with cacti and other succulents. They are frost sensitive, and die to the ground over winter and emerge again in late spring. Direct sow in spring, or start indoors and transplant after danger of frost. Once established, they are fairly drought tolerant.
