Centaurea cyanus

This stunning mix is dominated by rich, classic blue tones, with a beautiful splash of bi-color and purple flowers adding variety to the display. Bachelor’s button seeds are loved by birds, and honeybees are attracted to the flowers. These seeds were grown by our friend Chris of Rustling Aspen Farm in Midway, Utah.

For optimal growth, direct sow the seeds a couple of weeks before your last frost, or in early autumn for earlier blooms. While they do well when transplanted, be sure to plant them before they become root-bound. Regular harvesting encourages continuous edible blooms from early spring all the way to the first hard frost.
