Papaver rhoeas

This charming population of Shirley/Flanders poppies features an enchanting mix of delicate white flowers, alongside soft shades of light pink and lavender. This is a population that has been mixing for years at Top Crops farm, and we were so excited when they asked if we would like to harvest the seed for our catalog. The soothing, pastel tones of these blooms create a serene, almost dreamlike display in the garden.

Like many poppies, Papaver rhoeas thrives when direct-seeded, preferring cooler temperatures for germination. Scatter the seeds on the soil's surface from autumn to early spring, and enjoy a stunning display of flowers in late spring to early summer.
