Greek Oregano
Greek Oregano
$4.50
Origanum vulgare hirtum
This flavorful oregano is a must-have for any herb garden. Its plants can be trimmed multiple times throughout the season, and you can enjoy the herb both fresh and dried. The tiny white flowers are also edible and make a charming garnish for pizza, soups, and pasta dishes.
For best results, transplant seedlings after your last frost. Since the seeds are tiny and require light to germinate, surface sow them in flats. Once ready, transplant the seedlings 1 foot apart in your garden. Plants can grow up to two feet tall.
The seed for this variety comes to us from our friend Chris at Rustling Aspen Farm in Midway, Utah.
