Physalis ixocarpa

Large fruited tomatillo variety with lovely green skin. Great for making salsa verde! Make sure you grow more than one plant, as they are obligate outcrossers and will not be able to pollinate themselves.

Start seeds on heated mats and transplant outdoors after danger of frost, or direct sow outside after danger of frost has passed. We give our plants at least 2’ spacing as they tend to sprawl. Full sun, and adequate nutrition will make them very productive!
